We offer individual, family, relationship/marriage and group therapy services.

Treating a broad range of personal issues including but not limited to:

• anxiety
• depression
• relationship/interpersonal problems
• anger
• PTSD
• ADHD
• OCD
• ODD (oppositional defiant dis).

Individual Session

Meet with an experienced therapist one on one. Therapists work to help clients identify specific underlying issues that keep the client from functioning to their full potential. The focus is to provide the client with effective strategies to address identified issues.

Couples Session

Meet with one of our experienced therapists as a couple and at times individually. Identify with therapist specific areas of concern and to develop more effective skills that address identified issues. Therapy focuses on underlying issues and skills.

Family Session

Therapist meets with Family to address underlying issues that cause dysfunction to the family system. Therapist works with family to improve interpersonal and communication skills.

Group Session

Both educational and supportive therapeutic groups that address a broad range of topics.

Rates

Initial intake assessments are $150.00.

Follow up sessions are $120.00 for a 55 minute session.

Insurance

Men's Center participates with the following insurance:

• Anthem BCBS
• Carefirst
• United Healthcare
• Tricare

• The Men’s Center for Family Counseling does not participate with all health insurance plans, we will provide a super bill for receipt of service that you may submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Most insurance companies do reimburse part of the expense but each plan varies. Cash, check, healthcare savings accounts plans and all major credit cards accepted for payment.

About Us

The Men's Center for Family Counseling is a privately-owned practice located in Gainesville, Va. Our focus is to provide an environment that is tailored to the specific needs of the male client and the people in their lives. Taking a solution focused approach, therapists work with clients to identify underlying problems, improve self-awareness and to develop specific skills that address the client's needs. Though our focus is on the male client we do meet with female clients who come to us looking for this type of approach to therapy.

Our mission is to support, educate and empower people.

Michael Allard, LPC  is a Licensed Professional Counselor who brings 19 years of experience in the field as a clinical therapist. He was a lead therapist at a therapeutic foster care facility, working with troubled youth and their families. While there he specialized in working with male adolescents and their families.

We are located at the entrance of Stonewall Golf Course right next to the Cancer Center off of Hwy 29S just before the Wegmans Shopping Center.
